General Hours of Operation and Food Service for Race Meets
 
 The Club is open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. During race meets the Club offers a buffet lunch on Wednesday through Saturday with a seating at 11:30 a.m. and a seating at 1:30 p.m. If you are having lunch at 11:30 a.m. you must release your table no later than 1:00 p.m. to insure that the table is ready for 1:30 p.m. reservations.
 
 
 On Sunday there is one seating that begins at 12:00 noon.  Lunch is offered in the main dining room and tavern rooms only.  All other areas are first come, first served and for cocktail service only. A member or spouse may make a reservation during the race meet for up to eight people.  You may register on line at our website, www.thethoroughbredclub.com or call the club 859-254-4282.  Only one check is offered for tables of 8 and twenty percent gratuity will be added. The Club has a twenty four hour cancellation policy for reservations for groups of six or fewer. Forty eight hours is required to cancel a reservation for groups of seven or more.  A cancellation fee will be charged if reservations are not canceled according to these guidelines. 
 
 
Dress Code Guidelines For
TheRace Meets 
 
 
Dining Room:
For men, suits or jackets are required. Ties are optional. No hats, caps or denim please. For women, dresses, suits, slacks, skirts, blouses or sweaters are appropriate. No denim please.
 
Tavern and Bar Areas:
Please no abbreviated attire, athletic wear, shorts, hats, caps, flip-flops or ragged trousers. It is the responsibility of each Club member to inform guests of TCA policies. 
 
 
 
 
Guest Services for Race Meets 
 
If your guests are not having lunch at the Club but will be using the facility or shuttle they must be registered 24 hours prior to arrival.  A member or spouse is required to register guests by one of the following methods:

Please have your guests go to the guest registration stand at the main entrance where they will be provided with a TCA lapel sticker.  This will permit use of the club facilities for the day.  There will be hospitality personnel at this location to answer questions. No one will be allowed access to the Club facilities or shuttle without a lapel sticker. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Club Events 
 
Throughout the year the Club hosts additional events for our members.  Such events include the Summer Party, Theme Dinners and Wine Tastings. Please watch your calendar for dates and times. 
 
 
 
Other Club Events
 
 Keeneland Sales Dinners. The Club is open for dinner on select dates during the sales.  Please check your calendar for specific dates.  First reservations will be taken at 6:30 p.m. and the last reservations will be at 9:00 p.m. 
 
 
 
Private Parties
 
  The Club specializes in private parties of many styles.  Please call for information and availability.  Due to the high number of requests for wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners, the Club can only offer these parties to members and their children. The Club rental fee ranges from $250-$1000 depending on the event. The Club can accommodate cocktail style dinners for up to 275 guests and sit down dinners for 80-100 guests.  If your group is larger, tents may be rented.  The cost of the tent will be in addition to the standard charges. Outside caters are not permitted.
 
 
CLUB DUES
 
The annual dues cover the period from January 1 through the last day of December. Annual dues are payable December 31. New officers and directors are elected in March and installed as soon as practicable. 
 
 
 
 
THOROUGHBRED CLUB OF AMERICA STAKES  
 
This stakes race was first contested in 1981 and was initially limited to horses owned by members of the Thoroughbred Club of America. Currently, it is a Grade II stakes event for fillies and mares, run as an open race each October at Keeneland, with the winning owner also receiving an appropriate trophy. 
 
 
 
 
 
THOROUGHBRED CLUB TESTIMONIAL DINNER
 
This is held annually to honor a person selected by the club for rendering outstanding service to or contributing toward the betterment of Thoroughbred racing and/or breeding.
