TCA Stakes Race

The TCA Stakes was first contested in 1981 and was initially limited to horses owned by members of the Thoroughbred Club of America. Currently, it is a Grade II stakes event for fillies and mares, run as an open race each October at Keeneland. The winning owner recieves an appropriate trophy and their silks are painted on the jockey at the entry of the Club.

2013 TCA Stakes Race Winner - Judy the Beauty

Wesley Ward's Judy the Beauty cruised past pacesetter Gypsy Robin and last year's champion female sprinter Groupie Doll to win the $200,000 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes (gr. II) Oct. 5 at Keeneland.

The 4-year-old daughter of Ghostzapper covered the six furlongs on Polytrack in 1:09.23 under John Velazquez, topping Gypsy Robin by a length.
